Obama.

If you have not yet watched the State of the Union Address, I implore you to do so immediately. It was amazingly articulated. Obama really does have a tendency to bring people together. First of all, I'm glad that he called out the USSC on their absurd new decision this past week. I don't care that maybe it was rude, that decision is nonsense. Why should political spending have unconditional backing by corporations? So that the integrity of our electoral campaigns can be undermined? It doesn't make any sense. I'm also glad that Obama called out the Senate on multiple occasions. People like to argue that Obama is getting nothing done. That he promised us so much change, yet none of it is tangible. This isn't true at all. Obama and his administration have proposed bill after bill, legislation after legislation that the House ratifies. But time and time again, the Senate has been out to label Obama as a bad President. It seems that the Republican party is so dismal about their loss that they will do anything in their power to ensure that Obama fails, i.e. refusal to ratify legislation that could have profound impact on the US and the Obama Administration. This isn't what America should be about. We are the UNITED States of America. And, yes, we may have extreme bipartisan discord, but we are a United Nation that is in a desperate time and we really need to stick together. It doesn't matter if you are Democratic or Republican, this Nation is in need of change and that is a common ground that we can all agree on. So why not take the plunge and see where it takes us? People continuously say that they want change, but yet popular opinion suggests that these people are too afraid of this change or too afraid of Obama being successful. The American people need to put aside these differences and look out for the common good of our country.
